The 16th Annual General Meeting of Baraka Power Limited was held on Digital Platform on December 24, 2023 at 03:30 pm moderated by the Company Secretary Mr. Md. Saiful Islam Chowdhury. After recitation from the Holy Quran, Company Secretary started the main event of the meeting by welcoming honorable Board of Directors and Shareholders present thereon.
In his welcome speech Mr. Faisal Ahmad Chowdhury, Honorable Chairman of Baraka Power Limited mentioned that Baraka Group has been playing a leading role in National Development by continuously supplying electricity to the national grid. By capitalizing its business success, reputation and experience, the company is expanding to new ventures.
Mr. Fahim Ahmed Chowdhury, Honorable Managing Director of Baraka Power Limited, in his closing remarks expressed special gratitude to the Directors and Shareholders of the company for their sincere cooperation. He mentioned that the Consolidated NAV of the Company in the financial year 2022-2023 was Tk 21.99 and Consolidated Earnings Per Share stood at Tk. 0.56.
Declaration of 5% Cash dividend for fiscal year 2022-2023 along with other agendas have been approved by the vote of the shareholders in the 16th Annual General Meeting.

The 15th Annual General Meeting of Baraka Power Limited was held on Digital Platform on December 15, 2022 at 03.00 pm moderated by the Company Secretary Mr. Md. Saiful Islam Chowdhury. After recitation from the Holy Quran, Company Secretary started the main event of the ceremony by welcoming honorable Board of Directors and Shareholders present there.
In his welcome speech Mr. Faisal Ahmad Chowdhury, Honorable Chairman of Baraka Power Limited mentioned that Baraka Group has been playing a leading role in National Development by continuously supplying electricity to the national grid. The company is investing in new businesses using its business success, reputation and experience. Following this, Baraka Fashions Limited started and Baraka Power Limited held 51% shares of it. He also mentioned that the other three power plants of Baraka Group Baraka Power Limited, Baraka Shikalbaha Power Limited and Karnaphuli Power Limited are in full operation.
Mr. Fahim Ahmed Chowdhury, Honorable Managing Director of Baraka Power Limited, in his closing remarks expressed special gratitude to the Directors and Shareholders of the company for their sincere cooperation. He mentioned that the Consolidated profit of the Company in the financial year 2021-2022 was Tk 50.13 crore. The company’s Earnings Per Share stood at Tk. 2.13.
Declaration of 10% Cash dividend for fiscal year 2021-2022 along with other agendas have been approved with the vote of the shareholders in the 15th Annual General Meeting.

Baraka Power Limited received ICMAB Best Corporate Award 2020 in the power generation category. This is the 6^th times that Baraka Power Limited has received this recognition from the ICMAB for excellence in corporate governance. Baraka Power Limited had also received this award in the year of 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2019.

Mr. Tipu Munshi (MP), Honorable Minister, Ministry of Commerce handed over the prestigious award to Mr. Mohammed Monirul Islam, Director (Finance & Accounts), Baraka Group and Mr. Monowar Ahmed, Chief Financial Officer, Baraka Power Limited. Mr. Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam- Chairman, BSEC, Mr. Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed- Chairman, Standard Bank Limited and Mr. AKM Delwer Hussain FCMA- President, SAFA were present as the special guests.

Along with other senior officials, Mr. Mohammad Rana, Company Secretary, Baraka Patenga Power Limited was present at the award ceremony held at the Hotel Le Meridian, Dhaka on 30th December 2021.

In addition, along with other senior officials Mr. Monowar Ahmed, Chief Financial Officer and Mr. Md. Saiful Islam Chowdhury, Company Secretary of Baraka Power Limited were present at the award ceremony held at the Hotel Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, Dhaka on 25th February 2021.
