Nasim Ahmed Chowdhury is a British Bangladeshi entrepreneur and business leader with over two decades of professional and business experience across the United Kingdom and Bangladesh. His expertise spans power generation, investment, financial services, property development, hospitality, education and business development.

After graduating in Bangladesh, Mr. Chowdhury relocated to the United Kingdom in 1998. He began his professional career with Birmingham City Council, Npower, and the BBC, gaining valuable experience in operations, sales, customer relations, and administration. He subsequently established and managed businesses across a range of sectors, including printing and publishing, hospitality, retail, travel, money transfer, and cargo services.

He has also played an active role in facilitating Non-Resident Bangladeshi (NRB) investment in Bangladesh. In 2006, through Royal Homes Limited, he contributed to the development of Royal City—a land development project in Sylhet supported by NRB and local investors.

Mr. Chowdhury has contributed significantly to the growth of Baraka Group, supporting its expansion across power generation, garment industry, financial services and education.

As Managing Director of Baraka Power Limited, he provides strategic leadership focused on sustainable growth, operational excellence, investment and long-term value creation. His international experience and strong engagement with the NRB community continue to support the Group’s vision for Bangladesh’s economic development.

Beyond business, Mr. Chowdhury remains actively involved in community and social development initiatives in the UK and Bangladesh. He is a Life Member of Bangladesh Centre London and Beanibazar Education Trust UK.
